A list of acceptable tubes for the various analyses can be found in the document below.
The amount of anticoagulant is calculated precisely according to the capacity of the tubes.
If the filling level is not reached: effect of dilution of the sample and disturbances of certain analyzes due to an excessive concentration of anticoagulant.
Syringe withdrawal: rapid and gentle transfer of blood into the tube, taking care to remove the needle from the syringe to avoid iatrogenic hemolysis of the sample.
Gently invert several times to homogenize the blood with the anticoagulant.
Recommended order if several tubes need to be filled: Dry without additive, Citrate, Dry with additive, Heparin and EDTA. This makes it possible to minimize interference related to coagulation.
